Giesecke & Devrient and Aveso Partner to Produce
Hot Laminated Electronic Display Cards
Minneapolis and Munich, July 2, 2008 – Aveso, Inc.,the leader in hot laminated flexible displays, and Giesecke & Devrient, a leading global supplier of smart cards, today announced they have partnered to produce hot laminated electronic display cards featuring Aveso's rugged display technology. The companies will introduce products to meet the global demand for one-time password (OTP) authentication cards used to protect online information in the enterprise, banking and consumer markets. OTP cards place one-time password authentication into a convenient credit card form factor.
Under the partnership, the companies will leverage Giesecke & Devrient's (G&D) smart card technology expertise and global secure card manufacturing infrastructure to produce high quality OTP display cards that feature an Aveso display embedded together with a battery, circuit and button in a standard credit card form factor.
